“It’s all there,” Danielle added. “Cash, credit cards, ID, everything.”
“So, someone wanted us to find his identification. Funny, Isobel ran his photograph and came up cold.”
“What database?” Danielle asked.
“No idea. That’s why I brought the pictures. If he’s really Nikola Tesla, his folks had a sick sense of humor.”
Neil’s gaze shifted from Teague to Danielle and back. Jasper remained quiet throughout the conversation. When they came to a stopping place, he held up his hand to get their attention.
“Hola, y’all. Mr. Tesla has a laundry label inside his jacket. And it don’t say Nikola Tesla on it. It says, Corin Silvius. Anyone?” His gaze traveled from one to the next, expectant.
They shook their heads.
“Me neither. Just wanted to point that out.”
